PONTIN’S PAKEFIELD -
By Car
Pontin’s Pakefield Holiday Camp is situated just south of Lowestoft on the
A12.
Once in the area follow signs to Kessingland & Africa Live.
From London you should join the M25 ring road with a view to travelling in a North Easterly direction. You should leave the M25 at Junction 28 joining the A12 heading towards Chelmsford/Harwich.
Follow signs to Lowestoft, the holiday camp will be on the right hand side before you reach the the town.
Please note for a few miles around Ipswich the A12 briefly joins the A14, keep following signs for Lowestoft A12. Journey time is approximately 2¼ hours. From all other areas please see Pakefield Maps or check out the AA Route Planner.
By Train
It is best to travel via Norwich to Lowestoft and then travel by taxi to
the site.

Alternatively, if you are travelling from London you can pick up the Hep Cats’ Holiday Coach Shuttle Service which will be running directly from Stansted Airport to Pontin’s Pakefield, See below for further details.
By Coach
Lowestoft is quite difficult to reach directly by coach out of the Summer
season. However, there are regular bus services from Norwich and Peterborough.

By Air
Although Norwich Airport is geographically the closest airport it is relatively
small with very limited destinations.
However Stansted Airport, although approximately 1½ hours drive from Pakefield, serves more destinations that any other UK airport . It is also used by many budget airlines.
We are therefore recommending that if you are planning to fly into the UK Stansted is by far the best airport and we will be running our Hep Cats’ Holiday Coach Shuttle Service from there.
Coach Shuttle Service
We will be arranging return coaches to & from Stansted Airport on Friday 12th March and Monday 15th March.
We may also run a return service to Stansted from Pakefield on the Sunday depending on demand.
The way it will work is like this. Four weeks before the event we will ask (by email) everyone who has booked whether they require this service and if so to give us their flight/travel details.
From this information we will then calculate the how many coaches, what capacity and frequency we would require. We will then work out a timetable and the price. The price will be simply based on the number of journeys divided by the total cost. We will then send you PayPal invoice for that amount. We anticipate that the price will be around £15 each way or £30 return.
