THE HEP CATS HOLIDAY MARCH 2012 TEACHERS ARE...
DANCE CLASSES & TEACHERS -
Although this is not a heavy dance workshop weekend, we will be providing free classes in authentic Lindy Hop and related dance styles thoughout the day on Saturday & Sunday. There will be a total of 24 hours of classes including a selection of beginners and intermediate classes in Lindy Hop, Collegiate Shag, Balboa & Charleston.
We are keen that the classes are about social dancing, lead & follow and good technique rather than abstract choreography that you will never use on the dance floor.
This is not a formal dance camp so there are only two levels of classes:
1. Basics & Styling for beginners and more advanced dancers who want a refresher.
2. General Level which is for everyone.
All classes are drop-
There will be partner rotation so that everyone dances with everyone else.
With so may classes and teachers it is important that everything runs to schedule.
You can help by aiming to arrive for the classes 5 minutes before they are due to start and making sure you are ready to begin, wearing the right shoes etc.
You may want to bring a small towel and water with you into the classes .
Deodorant is always good!
